I would describe my approach to counselling as integrated, using a combination of theories. My original training was in person centred counselling and I find this ethos underpinning all of my work, especially when working on an emotional level with my clients, I went on to train in CBT and Humanistic approach. I practice both short and long term counselling regularly reviewing goals along the way, often with short term work I have found that solution based theory is most beneficial .I have worked for over 5 years with Cruse bereavement care at the Earlsdon Coventry Branch, and i am an accredited bereavement counsellor, I have also worked with D.A.C.S which deals with domestic abuse and violence so have specialist training in this area along with anger management training.

I am also a fully qualified Acupuncturist for over 10 years and am very aware of Mindfulness a practice that is now being used frequently in counselling and was originally a Buddhist concept. I find this concept tremendously beneficial when working with depression and Addiction. My aims are to help clients attain their chosen goals and provide a safe place for them to explore options and test new found self confidence.
